Broughton Bite & Blether

Where: Broughton Village Hall

When: Wednesday 4th, 

10:00am - 12:00

Come for a bacon roll, vegetarian sausage, cake, tea & coffee and a warm welcome from the volunteers.

Suggested donation of £3.

Community Engagement Events – ‘Talk today, shape tomorrow’

Scottish Borders Council (SBC) has announced a series of engagement events taking place across the region in local communities from the end of September and throughout October. The locality events ‘Talk today, shape tomorrow’ have been organised to gather information from residents of the Scottish Borders to help shape the 2026/27 Council Plan and the next Council budget.

Boxercise

£5 per class

An exercise class that is fun and suitable for all fitness abilities. Enquiries welcome to Yvonne Waugh (Facebook) or pop along and have a go!

Upper Tweed Community Drivers

Upper Tweed Community Drivers provide subsidised transport for patients attending healthcare appointments.  Available to any resident of Upper Tweed – Broughton, Tweedsmuir, Skirling or Stobo requiring help with transport. The person using the service will be asked to make a donation. To book a driver or volunteer to be a driver contact Co-ordinator Ann Welsh -

Book trolley

The book trolley has now been taken down from the hall however, there is a new community summer house in the school (behind the wooden fence) that is accessible outside of school hours (after 3pm and weekends) that could be used as a mini library. If you'd like to make a donation please contact the parent council.

Broughton in Bloom

Unfortunately Broughton in Bloom is no more however we still have members of the community volunteering to maintain our various planters. 

​

Huge thank you to everyone who volunteered to keep our village looking so wonderful.

Broughton Choral Society

Meets  Tuesdays 7.30-9.30pm in Broughton Village Hall during school term time. Open to everyone aged over 12 who enjoys singing and can sing in tune (no audition necessary).
